Waiting on the Weather
Like so many, we are waiting for a turn in the weather. A prolonged dry spell or good hard, prolonged (many days) frost is required to hardened the land and enable us to take tractors on to the grass land without doing more damage than good. We have a towering compost heap, compiled from winter bedding. It is absolute gold for the fields, but sadly not spread yet! The steam rising from it is very dramatic in the early morning and later afternoon fading light.
We are keeping busy planning the year ahead and penning your customer spring newsletter- with you shortly! We have a lot going on, even for us! We would like to welcome all new doorstep milk customers in recent weeks in Darlington and the villages to the west.
