Asparagus with your Doorstep Milk

Acorn Dairy direct doorstep milk customers in Darlington, Northallerton, Richmond, Aycliffe, Barnard Castle (& villages in between) will soon have the opportunity to order local, organic asparagus too.

Lasting little more than a month, the local growing season for this tasty veg is short (but delicious.) For several years our cousin Stephen Tweddle has kept some of his crop aside for Acorn Dairy customers. Picked fresh to order, in bundles of 250g, you can have some waiting with your morning milk on Friday & Saturday mornings.  Bundles are £2.50 again.
If you have not cooked it before- just lightly steam & drizzle with some of our butter. The plate will empty very quickly!
Some who enjoyed it in 2014, have already enquired for this year and if growth continues as expected, Stephen hopes to start cutting stems for you week commencing 4th May.
